Welder

Ambri, an energy startup commercializing an innovative battery technology first developed at MIT, is seeking a Welding Technician. This position will work on the Technical Services Team and report directly to the Manager, while working alongside leading battery scientists and engineers.

Position Overview

To support commercial and R&D cell production as part of the Technical Services to build commercial batteries.  The candidate should have a background in welding and metal fabrication.  Daily duties will involve TIG/MIG welding of components.

Position will start and train in Marlboro, MA, then will move to Milford, MA within a few months.

Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively with Engineers and Technicians to assemble metal fabrications, including welding and using hand tools
• Work closely with Supervisors and Engineers to execute on production plans
• Follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols
• Log all essential information from daily tasks into appropriate database

Requirements:

• Experience TIG/MIG welding
• Ability to use basic hand tools and measurement devices
• Excellent attention to detail
• General comfort working in a laboratory or industrial work environment
• Demonstrated adherence to and respect for safety protocols
• Able to read, understand and constantly follow company-wide safety instructions
• Proven ability to follow technical instructions and clearly communicate (written and orally) with Engineers
