Test Technician I/II

Ambri, an energy company commercializing an innovative battery technology first developed at MIT, is seeking a full-time Test Technician to install R&D commercial scale battery cells. Working with the cell development team, the successful candidate is detail oriented, thrives when following procedures, is efficient, and enjoys a fast-paced environment.

This position will start in our Marlborough, MA location before moving to our Milford, MA location.

Responsibilities**:**

• Physically install R&D and commercial scale battery cells
• Assist test engineers with cell performance monitoring
• Follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols
• Assist with performing preventative and reactive maintenance of cell testing equipment and infrastructure
• Assist with fabrication and assembly of cell testing equipment and infrastructure
• Actively support and participate in the lab safety and improvement program

Requirements**:**

• Strong desire to complete both hands-on and computer-based tasks promptly and correctly
• Possess good mechanical aptitude and experience with common hand tools
• Comfortable performing repetitive tasks
• Comfort and familiarity in a laboratory or industrial work environment
• Experience with electrical wiring and following schematics/procedures
• Previous experience with basic TIG welding or willingness to learn basic TIG welding skills, preferred
• Good basic computer skills, ability to assist with computer related programs and tasks
• Ability to read and follow instructions
• Excellent attention to detail, cleanliness, and organization
• Capable of working both independently, and as part of a fast-moving team
• Provide clear communication of technical information and other feedback to colleagues
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
