Ambri, an energy company commercializing an innovative battery technology first developed at MIT, is seeking a full-time Engineering Technician I/II. This individual will work on the cell development team and report to the Testing Operations Manager.
Responsibilities**:**
- Physical installation of R&D and commercial scale battery cells
- Assisting test engineers with cell performance monitoring
- Following standard operating procedures and safety protocols
- Assisting with performing preventative and reactive maintenance of cell testing equipment and infrastructure
- Assisting with fabrication and assembly of cell testing equipment and infrastructure
- Actively participating in the lab safety and improvement program
Requirements**:**
- Strong desire to complete both hands-on and computer-based tasks promptly and correctly
- Possess good mechanical aptitude and experience with common hand tools.
- Comfort and familiarity in a laboratory or industrial work environment
- Experience with electrical wiring and following schematics/procedures
- Previous experience with basic TIG welding or willingness to learn basic TIG welding skills
- Good basic computer skills, ability to assist with computer related programs and tasks
- Excellent attention to detail, cleanliness, and organization
- Capable of working both independently, and as part of a fast-moving team
- Provide clear communication of technical information and other feedback to colleagues
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
