The Role: Tax and Compliance Officer- The Tax position is very critical as he/she needs to ensure tax filling of all legal entities in Egypt

Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely filling of VAT, WHT and Payroll returns.
• Work with Consultant for filing of Income Tax return.
• Ensure the ERP is aligned with the government records
• Provide advisory to transactional tax team as needed.  Ensure robust controls are in place and ensure they are timely compliance in Egypt
• Coordinate tax audits and general enquires.  Work with internal stakeholders and external advisors to ensure an effective and timely audit process
• Support to prepare materials for regular communication with management and HQ to ensure full transparency and alignment
• Work with Team in India for process improments for Tax
• Ensure statutory compliance in all legal entities across Africa region
• Keep an eye for continuous improvement on all processes and implement Kaizen projects

Ad hoc tasks as required.

Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:

Bachelor/Master Degree with Accounting and Tax Skill
5 years of relevant work experience in mid-size organization handling Tax Function
Fluent in English
Good knowledge in MS-Excel, writing emails in corporate environment
