OVERVIEW
Join our dynamic Nepal team! We're looking for a motivated, dynamic individual to join us in Surkhet and add their own specific talents and new energy to our communications team.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supporting BlinkNow’s social media channels by creating original content;
- Collect stories, photos, and video footage of all program areas;
- Assist communications team in writing content for website;
- Create evergreen content for the BlinkNow social media channels spanning all program areas, combining photo and video with brand-aligned written copy;
- Gather stories from program participants, documenting their journey with BlinkNow, to assist Program Director and Communications Team; and
- Create case studies on key beneficiaries to document their journey with BlinkNow for our Programs Director to use
- Other communications projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Fluency in English
- 21 Years of age or older
- Strong written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- University degree in a related topic
- Resiliency when adapting to new environments and the obstacles that may come with that (heat, insects, illness, etc.)
- Ability to learn the BlinkNow “voice”
- Experience with photography, videography, and editing
- Aware of current social media trends on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.

- You are an empathetic person, with a knack for putting out fires before they start and soothing conflicts brewing beneath the surface
- You require little supervision and are flexible. You understand that you will be wearing many hats in this role, many of which are not explicitly included in this job description
COMPENSATION
- Volunteer will receive travel reimbursement, room and board, and a modest stipend.
