We are seeking a Senior Software Developer in Test to join our team and help us achieve our ambitious goals for our business and the planet.
What you will contribute:
We are searching for a seasoned, disciplined SDET with strong test automation and traditional QA experience who is passionate about changing the way millions of people save energy. With your programming and analytical skills, you should be able to independently lead, direct and implement Quality Engineering processes and solutions according to the team’s goals. You’ll work within the Engineering Team to test product features, APIs and UI functions and apply test automation and other technical skills to ensure defect-free delivery. You’ll be a part of building a robust analytics platform that crunches massive amounts of data and leverages it to deliver a compelling user experience to users across several platforms.

Design and implementation of testing frameworks
What you bring to Uplight:
A love of collaborative problem solving and a deep desire to be an excellent teammate
Strong experience building automated test frameworks for large-scale distributed systems within Data-Intensive, Analytics/Business Intelligence-based products
Strong foundation in Quality Assurance
Strong experience in working on frameworks for cross-browser testing.
Strong programming skills in Python and other languages
A history of working with several testing frameworks (Keyword-driven, hybrid, data
driven, etc.)
High proficiency in Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD).
Knowledge of web application architecture & bug life cycles
A track record of working with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
Proficiency in Database concepts, Strong knowledge of SQL, and experience with MySQL
Excellent grasp of standard SDLC / Agile-Scrum development
Well versed with Git and Github repositories
Ability to deliver against several initiatives simultaneously
BS in Computer Science / Engineering or demonstrable industry experience
Bonus points:
Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter, Loadrunner and Locust
Knowledge of BDD/Cucumber/Postman Enterprise
Experience with RESTful API testing
Experience with cloud infrastructure technologies (AWS, Google Cloud)

Salary Range: $100,000 to $120,000
