We are seeking a Sr. Product Marketing Manager to join our team and help us achieve our ambitious goals for our business and for the planet.
What you get to do:
Uplight is looking for an ambitious, highly talented, and experienced individual to provide senior go-to-market support for our Business Customer Solutions product line. This person is responsible for developing the strategy and plans for communicating the solution’s value to the market. This role, reporting to the Senior Director of Product Marketing and working closely with the Product, Marketing, and customer-facing Sales Teams, will plan, design, and position some of Uplight’s commercial offerings across its expanding customer base, market channels, and geographic footprint.
Market and Product Analysis
- Proactively identify, develop, and execute specific go‐to‐market strategy projects, which can include positioning, packaging, market intelligence, and other strategic projects.
- Synthesize market information into insights that inform positioning, roadmap, and go-to-market strategy, and adapt messaging to various internal and external audiences.
- Clearly articulate the solution’s value proposition and supporting proof points in a way that resonates with the market.
- Ensure competitive research and analyses are being updated and leveraged effectively.
- Translate win/loss analyses into recommendations for the product roadmap and go-to-market plans.
- Contribute to pricing, solution KPIs and related strategic projects.
- Collaborate with the Product Management team to inform roadmap priority and market strategy based on research and analysis.
Sales and Marketing Enablement
- Serve as a subject matter expert and client-facing resource for Uplight's Business Customer Solution, which enables utilities to more proactively and effectively engage with their commercial and industrial customers.
- Ensure solution resources are consistently updated and provided to the sales and marketing teams to align on core use cases, personas, customer profiles, and competitive differentiation.
- Develop training plans to ensure the sales team can effectively sell the solution.
- Serve as an advisor to the Sales and Account Management teams in developing winning account strategies and identifying qualified leads.
- Identify opportunities for, and support the authoring of, bylined articles, blog posts, and conference presentations.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop strategic campaigns and events to promote the solution and advance sales.
What you will contribute:
- Ability to synthesize complex challenges and opportunities to inform product and go-to-market strategies that will help Uplight and its clients meet their goals while delivering market innovation.
- Leverage subject matter expertise to Influence decision-makers, stakeholders, and industry influencers in support of Uplight’s goals.
- Accelerate sales by packaging Uplight’s offerings aligned with client challenges and buying patterns, supported by compelling narratives and proof points.
What you bring to Uplight:
- 7+ years of experience in product marketing for a SaaS offering or in the energy utility industry or similar field.
- Experience developing go-to-market plans (e.g., value proposition, sales, marketing enablement, pricing, channel).
- Experience with sales support or business development.
- Experience with research, analysis, and strategy.
- Experience with complex enterprise software products preferred.
- Exceptional oral and written communication and presentation skills.
- Passion for storytelling and impact.
- Ability to adapt to change within a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multitask, provide persistent follow-up, and prioritize competing deadlines.
- Team player (ability to work toward a common goal across all departments and levels).
- Self-starter and self-accountable.

- Experience working with businesses on their sustainability energy-related programs
- Experience working with commercial and industrial utility programs

Salary Range: $135,000 to $155,000
In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the approximate annual base compensation range is listed above. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be determined by a number of factors including the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.
