Job overview at a glance

ELEVATE is looking for an experienced, passionate, solution-oriented Senior Consultant to drive from design to implementation projects focused on grievance mechanisms / helplines, forced labor in food & ag supply chains in LATAM and Europe regions. As a Senior Consultant, you will be a part of our advisory practice and serve a cross-cutting function, contributing significantly to driving sustainable and innovative solutions across supply chains and forging strong partnerships to ensure the projects’ success and increased impact. Working closely with local staff and a global team of experts, you will oversee all aspects of project management including design, implementation, stakeholder relations, financial planning, monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL), and reporting activities.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Project management and overseeing quality assurance on project delivery, workplan, key performance indicators, budget, and risk management to ensure compliance with ELEVATE and (when applicable) donor practices and standards;
  • Provide support to local teams on activity definition, technical advisory, and community engagement to ensure successful and timely project delivery;
  • Independent design and development of clear and timely program reports, MEL plan, and effective systems for data collection, monitoring, storage, analysis, and reporting across project activities;
  • Support in communicating project updates to all stakeholders and ensuring staff are clear on their roles, expected deliverables, and timelines;
  • Conduct independent pipeline growth and management, including proposal writing, presentations, budget preparation, and contribution to thought leadership;
  • Cross-functional collaboration with consulting, delivery teams, senior leaders, and other product leads to support the design and effective programs and products that respond to client needs;

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of experience in relevant field
  • Consulting and project management experience required
  • Experience in social / human rights issues, food & agricultural supply chains sustainability, worker engagement, and/or public & private partnership environment
  • Experience with business development & managing client expectations and ensuring quality control on projects.
  • Familiarity with theories of change and M&E systems (including through surveys, interviews, case studies, and reports) to analyse outcomes and draw out learnings and recommendations.
  • Experience in applying emotional intelligence and managing conflict for members in own organization.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and cross-communication skills in English and Spanish or Portuguese; attention to detail and keen ability to monitor, analyse, and manage operations to meet project expectations and goals.
  • Strong collaboration skills
    • Efficient multi-tasker and able to coordinate people at all levels of an organisation while also being able to work independently with minimum supervision.
    • Capacity to work across different time zones, i.e to hold meetings outside of regular local working hours
    • Ability to respond positively to pressure and adapt in a dynamic, fast paced, and changing work environment
