Overall Function
The Senior Business Systems Analyst, ERP is responsible for supporting EDF’s ERP ecosystem of applications, processes, and tools that deliver mission-critical business insights, data, and services across the organization. This position serves as an ERP subject matter expert and provides continuity in understanding and communication between the business and information technology, ensuring business processes and systems are enabled and leveraged as efficiently and effectively as possible. Additionally, the Senior Business Systems Analyst is a trusted advisor and liaison to the business leaders and functional owners who oversee the ecosystem as well as those that depend on its services, and they help ensure the ERP ecosystem continues to evolve and scale in alignment with the organization’s strategies and goals.
The ERP ecosystem is comprised of multiple business systems spanning Finance, HR, and IT Operations that are support by several enterprise applications including NetSuite, Workday, Concur, Informatica, and Salesforce. Reporting to the Director of ERP Applications, the Senior Business Systems Analyst will be focused on supporting the HR and Operational aspects of ERP, including integrations with and the utilization of Workday data.
Key Responsibilities
Classify, triage, and update tickets with pertinent information in EDF’s ticketing system.
In collaboration with the Workday, Informatica, and other systems administrators, business stakeholders, and third-party support teams, troubleshoot problems, test solutions, and resolve issues.
Analyze current business processes and leveraging business knowledge and expertise to identify opportunities for process improvements and adoption of best practices.
Partner across the HR, Finance, Operations, and IT teams to understand and document business processes and workflows, as well as to align and aid with the development of solutions to meet business needs.
Participate in advancing EDF DEI goals in which people from all backgrounds and experiences feel connected, included, and empowered to address the environmental and organizational challenges in alignment with EDF values.
Support new projects and enhancement requests by assisting with the development of project scope, planning, and scheduling deliverables.
Create functional and technical business requirements documents, process design documents, as-is and to-be use cases, and workflow diagrams.
Document and maintain system enhancements, implementations and automations supporting key business processes.
Advise and train the organization on various processes and tools, as well as the future capabilities of products within the ERP ecosystem.
Tweak configuration, maintain interfaces and app market integrations, and engage third-party Zendesk support to deploy services and better utilize or enhance the Zendesk environment.
Evaluate periodic ERP ecosystem application releases and identify any areas of impact including system configuration, workflows, and business processes.
Additional relevant responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
4+ years of Business Analyst experience and a Bachelor’s degree required. An advanced degree may substitute for up to 2 years of experience. PBA or equivalent certification preferred.
2+ years of IT System implementation or administrative support experience (in Workday, Informatica, Concur, NetSuite, or other enterprise-level applications) required.
Demonstrated experience developing key Business Analyst documentation, including functional and technical requirements specifications, business requirements, use cases, and process flow diagrams required.
Demonstrated self-awareness, cultural competency and inclusivity, and ability to work with colleagues and stakeholders across diverse cultures and backgrounds.
Experience participating in user acceptance testing and performing gap analyses required.
Experience supporting and/or working knowledge of HR/HRIS operations, processes and procedures preferred.
Experience with project management and data management (architecture, administration, standards, stewardship) preferred.
Experience with non-profit accounting and financial practices and award/grant management preferred.
Proactive, attentive to detail, and adaptable.
Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
Excellent facilitation and verbal and written communication skills that can be used to illicit technical needs, develop and document requirements, communicate status, etc.
High degree of technical and analytical acumen with the ability to describe and present complex technical processes to audiences with varying levels of technical background.
Works well independently as well as collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across multiple time zones.
