Position Summary
CPI offers a challenging environment that requires independent thinking, collaboration, and pragmatic problem solving. The Senior Analyst will support deliverables that advance strategic reforms and breakthrough financial instruments and business models related to the international financial architecture (IFA) to effectively channel existing and additional climate finance to emerging markets and developing economies (EMDEs). Under the supervision and guidance of Managers/Senior Managers, Senior Analysts work within their team to undertake robust and careful analysis, drawing on a blend of analytical skills from multiple disciplines, including macroeconomics, public policy, finance, and international development, to support initiatives and publications that promote significant reforms and groundbreaking financial tools. Senior Analysts work in close cooperation with a range of domestic and international partners from the policy, finance, and corporate spheres, as well as with CPI teams across the globe.

Preferred:
Master’s degree in a relevant field, especially in Economics and/or Finance.
Experience in climate finance
Proficiency in Spanish and or/Portuguese is preferred, with strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders and manage documentation in those languages.

CPI is recruiting for full-time positions in our San Francisco or Washington DC office, with a strong preference for Washington DC .
CPI has adopted a flexible working policy whereby staff are able to mix working remotely with days in the office (particularly helpful for interacting with the wider CPI team, specific team meetings and collaboration). CPI offers an excellent and competitive compensation and benefits package.
