Climate Policy Initiative (CPI) is an analysis and advisory organization with deep expertise in finance and policy. CPI has six offices around the world in Brazil, India, Indonesia, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
Our work in Brazil combines rigorous economic, institutional and legal analysis to identify areas for improving public policies and provides concrete recommendations on how to reconcile economic development with environmental conservation. CPI supports public policies in Brazil through rigorous analysis and evidence-based research, strategic partnerships with members of the government and civil society through a constructive approach, and direct collaboration with policymakers.

POSITION SUMMARY
CPI offers a challenging environment that requires independent thinking, collaboration, and pragmatic problem-solving. The Senior Analyst role supports the deliverables of CPI's Brazil Climate Finance work stream, focusing on issues such as the mapping of financial ecosystems and the climate finance landscape, analysis of regulatory systems, and public policies. The work also focuses on analyzing the governance of financial mechanisms, including evaluating their allocation and effectiveness, and the design of innovative climate finance instruments that effectively align public and private interests.
Under the supervision of the Research Director in CPI's Rio de Janeiro office, the Senior Analyst will help execute CPI's strategy and build its analytical foundation. They will implement complex research quantitative and qualitative assignments related to financial ecosystems and climate finance for the national and sub-national context. Previous work experience with climate policy, finance, sustainable frameworks, and carbon markets, as well as knowledge and understanding of Brazil's regulatory institutions and/or multilateral or bilateral financial institutions and national or regional development banks and/or private financial institutions, are valuable assets.

CPI is hiring for one full-time Senior Analyst position, open immediately. CPI offers an excellent and competitive compensation and benefits package. Compensation will be based on experience.
