The Director of Sales will oversee the New Equipment sales function for INNIO Waukesha. The new leader will be responsible for the identification, development, and growth of profitable new and existing business opportunities both domestic and international under the direction of the VP of Sales and Service, and in partnership with the Director of Services Sales.
The Director of Sales will:
- Lead product sales to drive gains in market share in alignment with the overall growth plan.
- Interpret market data and leverage market segmentation to target opportunities to advance and grow the business.
- Ensure sales strategy is integrated cross-functionally with the business and that the sales force is aligned with priority opportunities.
- Establish and/or strengthen critical processes and cultivate a proactive sales culture to strengthen sales as a core competency and advance key customer relationships
- Coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team which is incentivized through performance-based compensation
Background Overview:
The ideal candidate will possess: (1) Commercial leadership in organizations of relevant scale and complexity that have a global customer base in the Oil & Gas industry; experience with reciprocating engines and channel sales preferred; (2) experience building, implementing and leading strategic and operational sales and support processes; and (3) superior advisory, relationship, and stakeholder management capabilities necessary to drive change in a high growth, investor-back environment; is effective at engaging at all organizational levels and leads by doing.
Key Attributes:
- 15+ years of experience in sales and commercial leadership roles in the Oil & Gas industry; experience with reciprocating engines and channel sales preferred.
- Commercial leadership in organizations of relevant scale and complexity that have a global customer base in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Direct sales experience in multi-customer environments with long sales cycles that require navigation of complex customer processes to become an approved and preferred vendor.
- Track record of sales leadership and profitable growth leading expansions into new markets, products, and/or service offering.
- Experience building, implementing and leading strategic and operational sales & support processes.
- Experience developing sales strategies, segmenting customers, and positioning products & services.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a geographically dispersed sales team within a matrixed organization; strong leadership skills and demonstrated ability to manage talent.
- Superior advisory, relationship, and stakeholder management capabilities, effective at engaging at all levels and leads by doing.
