Position Description
Consultancy Assignment: Malagasy-English Interpretation and Translation for Curriculum Support
Fédération Malagasy de Rugby (Malagasy Rugby) and ChildFund Rugby are recruiting individuals who can provide interpretation and translation services in support of a Rugby for Development curriculum in Madagascar. Services include providing Malagasy-English and English-Malagasy interpretation for operational meetings, educator trainings, supporting communications with partners, and translation of key documents, meeting minutes, and other project events as required from now until 30 June 2024.
Context
This consultancy supports Pass It Back, an innovative Sport for Development program led by ChildFund in partnership with Malagasy Rugby that delivers an integrated life skills and rugby curriculum for children and young people in disadvantaged communities across Madagascar.
The program aims to provide children with structured sport and life skills learning opportunities in a safe, inclusive environment, that supports social and emotional learning and allows them to positively contribute to their communities.
Job Purpose and Reporting Structure
The purpose of this Consultancy is to provide interpretation support services to ChildFund Rugby from Malagasy to English and English to Malagasy to ensure that:
The Consultant will report to the ChildFund Rugby Partnerships Coordinator and work closely with ChildFund Rugby Impact and Scaling Manager, Global Programs and Partnerships Manager.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Note: Consultant will be paid based on actual number of outputs delivered over the contract period.
