Please note that this is a 6 month maternity cover position. We are open to receiving applicants from Kenya.
The Job
The Research Lead will provide professional expertise and skills in research methodology, research design, data collection, data analysis, and the interpretation and presentation of research and evaluation results to assist the Tiko Research Department to achieve the organizational strategic goals. This will be achieved by;
About You
You have excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize a range of tasks when facing competing deadlines. You have a clear commitment to making a leading contributor to the research environment and producing high quality research outputs.
Requirements
Postgraduation in behavioral or health sciences, public health, sociology, population studies/demography, statistics, or related discipline will be an advantage
A minimum of 3 years of experience in a research focused role
Experience in designing and implementing research programmes for ad-hoc or bespoke projects
Experience of analyzing large, complex survey datasets
Proven qualitative and quantitative skills, with familiarity with related analysis packages STATA, SPSS, NVivo or ATLAS.ti
You have experience of communicating your findings in a range of forums.
Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills in English
You are based in Nairobi or Mombasa.
The rewards
At Tiko we believe in being open, also when it comes to salaries. The gross monthly salary bracket for this position is Ksh285,730 - Ksh357,163 in Kenya, plus benefits. We will offer you a salary in this bracket depending on your level of experience and how it relates to your future colleagues.
