For the strategic and organisational development of CEE7 (Adria, Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia) we are looking for a

Regional Organisational Director (full time)

We are looking for an experienced person with a rich proficiency in providing executive leadership in Greenpeace CEE. The position heads together with the regional PD Team, Finance and People & Culture the development of CEEโ€™s organisational operations capacity and provides effective support in all organisational belongings to enable the organisation to achieve its goals.

The scope of your work will include but not be limited to:

  • Strategic development of CEE7 offices according to agreed overall strategies, priorities, special needs and challenges;

  • Representation of CEE7 strategic interests in the CEE HQC and building a mutual understanding;

  • Ensure effective and appropriate management practices throughout CEE7;

  • Initiate, oversee and proactively support effective transformation and champion the innovation required to move in tandem with the evolving external context and the strategic needs;

  • Comprehensive understanding of GPCEE Programme work;

  • Bridging between regional P&C, regional finance and local offices;

  • Ensure the full compliance with all relevant national legislations in CEE7, ensure the governance of the local offices happens according to the local legislations and as effectively as possible;

  • Ensure together with P&C Director that P&C strategy and activities are effectively aligned with and contribute to overall CEE strategies;

  • Strengthen and streamline the internal budget planning and monitoring processes (together with the Finance Department and the Program Director);

  • Supervise ODs and be directly accountable for their work;

  • knows how to lead and develop team members and that true collaboration requires empathy, flexibility, resourcefulness, a high level of problem-solving skills and a proactive, solution-oriented approach to challenges;

The role holder is reporting to the Deputy Executive Director and is part of the regional senior management team. The position can be based in one of the local offices within CEE7. The minimum salary depends on the local salary scale. The final salary is based on the organisation's salary system and the relevant experience of the position holder.
