Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an experienced person with a rich proficiency in managing all financial aspects of the organisation in accordance with GP CEE governance rules and legal frames. A long-term strategic view based on the analysis of developments, strengths and weaknesses of financial plans/forecasts contribute to informed decision making in the Senior Management Teams as well as in Board meetings.
The scope of your work will include but not be limited to:
Lead sound financial planning process to secure financial long-term stability of the organisation;
Lead, motivate and manage the Finance Department (Accounting and Controlling) in the HQ and provide leadership to finance staff;
Prepare the local annual statement in Austria, steer the year-end closing process in all local offices within the region and consolidate results in accordance to IFRS-SME;
Coordinate yearly audits in all local offices within the region and act as main contact point for the main auditor in Austria ;
Ensure compliance and further development of GP Financial Policies and Procedures;
Ensure the highest standard of financial systems used in the region in order to minimise the possibility of fraud;
Monitor a cost effective use of supporter’s funds by Greenpeace Treasury and Asset Management;
Develop and maintain important working relationships, both internal and external;
Represent the organisation in the NPO Sounding Board of the Austrian Donation Quality seal.

For sure, you are a professional in accounting/controlling and finance with some years of experience desirable in NGO financial management.
You know how to lead and develop team members and that true collaboration requires empathy, flexibility, resourcefulness, a high level of problem-solving skills and a proactive, solution-oriented approach to challenges;
Based in Vienna with a minimum salary of EUR 4.980,-. The final salary is based on the organisation's salary system and the relevant experience of the position holder;
