Ambri, an energy startup commercializing an innovative battery technology first developed at MIT, is seeking a R&D Manufacturing Engineer on the Cell Development Team.
To ensure compliance with Ambri internal processes on the research and development team. Design processes and implement R&D level best practices for manufacturing.
Creation, support, and execution of research and development processes, equipment, and documentation
Lead design of projects that support the R&D prototyping of cell production equipment
Construction and troubleshooting of lab scale manufacturing equipment including vacuum systems, inert-gas gloveboxes, and furnaces
Ensure equipment and processes meet demand, quality, and cost targets
Authorize and control PFMEAs, specifications, work instructions, statements of work, training documents, etc.
Measure, communicate, and troubleshoot yields of existing processes
B.S. or Master’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering
8+ years working experience in chemical product manufacturing processes.
Ability and desire to work in a research and development environment
Preferred to have experience with industrial manufacturing equipment in a medium- or high-volume production environment
Experience with CAD drafting software, preferably Solidworks.
Flexible and capable of working both independently and part of a fast-moving team
Organizational and communication skills
Strong attention to details and troubleshooting skills
