What is the opportunity?
The Proposal and Report Writer assists in impact reports for the teams that work with our individual, church, foundation, and corporate funds, as well as organization-wide mid-year and end-of-year custom impact reports. This role also manages a custom impact report schedule, ensuring that Partnership Directors can submit reports as needed. The Proposal and Report Writer will work with the Content Director, Partnership Directors, and Partnership Managers to write proposals. This individual must have superior attention to detail, the ability to work in a highly fluid environment, and a proven track record of meeting deadlines. The position reports to the Director of Content Strategy and Development and can be based remotely or at Water Mission’s headquarters in N. Charleston, SC.
A successful Proposal and Report Writer will perform the following:

What is required?
Personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
Alignment with Water Mission’s Statement of Faith and core values of Love, Excellence, and Integrity.
Consistently present a professional image and effectively communicate the mission and purpose of Water Mission.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum of three years of experience in nonprofit, grant-writing, or technical writing field.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate ideas and feedback in a constructive way.
Knowledge of AP style and the ability to learn a house writing style and brand voice.
Ability to work in a highly fluid environment and respond to changing requests and handle competing priorities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse groups of people.
Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Home internet bandwidth strong enough to support video conferencing and other job-related responsibilities required.
Commitment to the values and mission of the organization and ending the global water crisis.
