PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The position reports to the Project Coordinator and will take lead in implementing the Livelihoods project in selected communities in Central province. You will be coordinating with partners and district stakeholders. This position is based in Port Moresby. You should be able to work independently and demonstrate a high degree of accountability in all engagements and activities.
KEY DUTIES
- Implement Livelihood activities in 5 communities in Central Province
- Organize logistics for all field activities and engagements at the sub-national level.
- Coordinate with the PC in conducting awareness raising and training on Child protection and child safeguarding, PSEAH, and adherence to the code of conduct
- Observe CF policies, processes and procedures in activity implementation
- Maintain weekly communication with the Project Coordinator
- Coordinate with Logistics and Procurement for the necessary processing of request for field supplies
- Compile activity reports and maintain expense tracking
- Ensure that beneficiaries tables are updated monthly
- Ensure compliance with CF policies and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in tropical agriculture
- At least 3 years’ experience implementing livelihood projects in the NGO sector
- Experience working with communities
- Experience in facilitating meetings and delivering training and workshops in rural communities
- Experience in participatory community development methodologies
- Understanding of quantitative and qualitative methods of monitoring and evaluation.
DESIRABLE
- Experience in working with NGOs in cross-cultural setting.
- Working knowledge of the government of PNG WASH, DRR and Climate Change Policies
