Project Officer, Asia Pacific – FSC Asia Pacific

This is a local position working for Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) based in Hong Kong.

Main Roles & Responsibilities

To provide all-rounded project management and operation support to the Hong Kong team:

• Handle invoicing documentations, and administer payments related to operation expense claims and advances, projects billings, vendors quotations and invoices, payments etc

• Coordinate with teams in the APAC region to ensure various project documentations, project reports, work plans, proposals etc are submitted on-time

• Liaise with the Headquarter in Germany to ensure company’s standard operating procedures, rules and guidelines in regard to invoicing are adhered to

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal data gathering process

• Serve as a point-of-contact for company’s incoming enquiries

• Act as a trademark custodian, and guide certificate holders on how to use the FSC trademarks, ensuring that communication is in line with FSC requirements.

• To ensure invoices for Promotional Licence Agreements are sent out on time, contracts are renewed on a needs-basis and information in central databases is kept up to date.

• Assist in organising events, such as seminars, webinars, trade shows etc.

• Perform ad hoc assignment and projects as required

Qualification, Experience and Skills

Education and Training:

• University degree, or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g. Business Administration, Marketing).

Working Experience, Style and Skills:

• 2 years or above experience in administration or relevant experience

• Detail-oriented, strong sense of responsibility, self-motivated and good team player

• Ability to follow up with complex projects in a multi-cultural environment.

• Collaborative working style and team player.

• Creativity and problem-solving skills.

• Good time management and organizational skills.

• Service and solution-oriented attitude to work.

• Experience/Knowledge in forest-based industries would be an advantage.

Computer Skills:

• Standard software packages (MS Office), particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Proficiency in PowerBI would be an advantage.

Language and Communication Skills:

• Fluency in English (spoken and written).
• Fluency in other Asian languages is a plus.
• Active-listening skills.
