KEY DUTIES

- Manage all aspects of project planning, implementation and monitoring on a regular basis, including ensuring regular budget planning, spending and tracking.
- Liaise with other local development partners, stakeholders, agencies and local government partners including Provincial Education and Sports (PESS), District Education and Sport Bureau (DESB) and other relevant GoL departments-offices in order to strengthen understanding of policies and innovative project strategies and maintain great relationships.
- Prepare and submit timely accurate and professional donor program reports and GoL.
- Arrange and conduct regular and frequent project staff meetings and counterpart meetings aimed at reflection and learning.
- Oversee M&E activities included in the Annual Work Plan, with particular focus on results and impacts as well as in lesson learning and contribute to the development of the M&E Framework for the project.
- Participate in any baseline, mid-term, end-line surveys or any need assessments of teachers and children in selected schools, as directed by the Education Manager and Provincial Area Manager.
- Remain alert and responsive to any child safeguarding or sexual exploitation, abuse or harassment (SEAH) risks, acquire relevant knowledge and skills to promote strong safeguarding practices, understand the child safeguarding and PSEAH policy and procedures, and conduct yourself consistent with those policies.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- A Bachelor’s degree in education, development studies, or other related fields. A Master’s degree preferred

- At least 5 years of technical project implementation experience
- At least 2 years of supervision experience
- A demonstrated interest/understanding of the education sector in the Lao PDR.
- Field experience and demonstrated skills in child literacy development and pedagogical support systems to teachers and administrators.
- Experience in participatory community development methodologies.
- Experience working with children/youth. Ability to work and play with children and young people.
- Strong written skills and experience producing high quality project reports.
- IT skills and familiarity with MS Office, MS Windows and Internet applications (including email).
- Demonstrated skills in teamwork and conflict resolution.

Location: ChildFund in Laos, Saphanthong Neua Village, House No. 598, Unit 26, Sisattanak District, Vientiane, Laos
Employment: Full-time contract

The position is based in Xamneua district, Huaphanh province (possible to negotiate based in Vientiane Capital)
