Project Coordinator

SOS Children’s Villages Sri Lanka, a member organization of SOS-Kinderdorf International, provides total care to the children who have lost their parents as well as the children who are at risk of losing the care of their biological family. The organization has well established Projects in Piliyandala, Nuwaraeliya, Galle, Anuradhapura, Monaragala, Jaffna, Gandara, and Peraliya, Malpotha and Mallavi. We invite applications from highly committed individuals who meet the requisite qualifications for the following position.

PROJECT COORDINATOR - YOUTH

CONTRACT MODALITY: 1 YEAR FIXED TERM

SOS Children’s Villages, National Office in Piliyandala seek a Project Coordinator to monitor and evaluate designated youth projects which run through Corporate Partnerships.

• Monitor, follow up and evaluate youth project activities
• Provide monthly progress reports
• Conduct assessments and studies
• Follow-up regular youth activities of each project on a monthly basis
• Maintain databases on youth support activities
• Compile success stories and case reports
• Coordinate relevant training programs.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree / Diploma in Project Management, Sociology or any other relevant discipline.
• Candidates should be able to communicate fluently (both written and oral) in English and Sinhala or Tamil.
• Candidates with a minimum of six month experience in project management, project implementation and monitoring & evaluation will be desired.
• Those who are proficient in MS office, E –Mail and E -Conferencing tools (MS Teams / Zoom etc.,) will be given preference.
• Candidates with the ability to work with minimum supervision and a high degree of adaptability and team work will have a definite advantage.
