What is the opportunity?
The Project Accountant is responsible for supporting project managers and program directors in the financial management of their projects. This may include reviewing grant agreements, budgets, and work plans; posting entries into the general ledger; analyzing financial transactions and statements for compliance; financial reporting to grantors; and supporting audits. What is required?

Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
3 to 5 years of applicable work experience required.
Experience in grant accounting, the construction industry, or project management preferred.
Intermediate Excel skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of commonly used accounting, business, and manufacturing concepts and practices (nonprofit accounting experience preferable).
Excellent analytical skills; ability to work through complex issues and employ reasoning skills to solve problems.
International and multi-currency accounting experience a plus.
An understanding of and ability to work with volunteers and all levels of staff, including staff in developing countries.
Capable of working with a team toward common goals and overcoming diverse obstacles.
Ability to organize personal workloads and maintain a well-functioning office.
Strong integrity and stewardship.
Accounting software experience required; ERP experience preferred.
Home internet bandwidth strong enough to support video conferencing and other job-related responsibilities is required.
Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
