About the role
As a program coordinator, you will work on our community development and educational programs. You will also guide and train our international participants, all while spending your time in the culture-rich city of Siem Reap, Cambodia.
The role entails assisting with daily operations of the projects, base and volunteer management. On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for overseeing the volunteers, scheduling & logistics for project work, teaching classes as needed, maintaining social media, keeping records of project work, delivering training and orientations for new volunteers, and acting as a role model for volunteers.
Role and responsibilities:
Assist in teaching English and covering classes and community activities when volunteer numbers are low
Assist Program Manager to deliver volunteers programs, activities, trainings workshops and services
Keep good communications and relations with local project partners, seeking out feedback and assuring that GVI programs are in line with partner objectives, and assist with development of new partnerships as needed
Help manage effectively conflicts and complaints from all parties and communicate all such issues with your line manager as appropriate depending on the urgency
Update social media channels
Ensure GVI’s Health and Safety, Child Protection and Social Media policies are followed by all participants, staff and visitors to the hub and while on project
Effectively manage any issues that come up in the field on a day-to-day basis, including participant complaints, medical issues, natural disasters etc.
Manage day to day logistics of project and the base schedule
Train and develop staff members and participants
