Production Coordinator

About the Job:

The Production Coordinator coordinates and executes production operations of New Moms’ social enterprise, Bright Endeavors. This position works closely with the Operations Coordinator to maintain manufacturing operations, and with Training and Production Specialists to ensure daily and weekly production and quality goals are met. The Production Coordinator will champion all New Moms values including our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, in both strategic planning and performance. This position is located at Bright Endeavors in the East Garfield Park neighborhood. Starting Salary: $42,000

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • With support from assigned Production Assistants, supervise and execute all pouring, finishing, and quality control operations

  • Monitor and achieve daily and weekly production goals using our Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system and integrated platforms

  • Ensure all quality standards are met and escalate issues to Operations Coordinator as necessary

  • Accurately track scrap and damage resulting from production operations

  • Provide guidance and feedback to Production Assistants as necessary

  • Provide outstanding support to peers and colleagues

  • Upholds the New Moms’ Executive Skills Coaching approach, which is grounded in racial equity

  • Regularly participate in agency and program staff meetings, as well as professional group seminars or conferences to enhance professional knowledge and job skills

  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Familiarity both with online/cloud-based email systems, Microsoft Office, and other shipping and accounting software preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse setting, or comparable educational certifications/credentials
  • Experience using MRP and/or inventory management systems preferred
  • Experience in Social Enterprise and/or Workforce Development preferred
  • Attention to detail and results-oriented approach to work
  • Strong decision-making skills and excitement about working in a fast-paced, physically active environment required
  • Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team approach model, taking individual responsibility and autonomy while also working well in roles leading and serving as part of a diverse team
  • Strong conflict management and coaching skills, ideally with experience working with youth
  • Strong interpersonal skills; excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills, and ability to represent agency to customers and external partners

  • This is an on-site position, 5 days per week, at our Bright Endeavors location in East Garfield Park.
