Third Generation Environmentalism is hiring a
PPCA SECRETARIAT COORDINATOR, LONDON, BRUSSELS OR BERLIN
The advertised position is with the Powering Past Coal Alliance (PPCA) Secretariat, hosted by E3G and will be based in one of the E3G offices in London, Brussels or Berlin. The successful candidate will use their programme management and delivery skills to develop and manage the Secretariat’s yearly workplan and drive delivery across multiple grants of major cross-cutting deliverables to accelerate progress on the transition from coal to clean energy.
Background
The Powering Past Coal Alliance (PPCA) is a global coalition of national and subnational governments, businesses and organisations working to advance the transition away from unabated coal power generation.
The Secretariat of the Powering Past Coal Alliance drives delivery on the strategy agreed by the Co-Chairs and Steering Committee, co-ordinating closely with co-lead and member governments. The Secretariat currently consists of nine roles and is funded through four grants. Your role would be to turn the strategic direction given by the Steering Committee into a concrete workplan and to co-ordinate delivery ensuring that we demonstrate impact and meet the reporting requirements set by our funders. In addition, you will work closely with the Head of Secretariat to develop a future funding strategy for the Secretariat including proposal development and you will oversee the Secretariat’s internal processes, which include financial and grant reporting, resource management, and event support, as well as building a creative, inclusive and learning-orientated culture within the Secretariat.
You will report directly to the PPCA Head of Secretariat. You will be part of a highly dynamic, impact-driven international team of the PPCA Secretariat. You will also have an opportunity to closely collaborate with the Alliance’s co-chairs, the governments of Canada and the United Kingdom.

E3G offers a reward and benefits package which compares well with other organisations within our sector. The indicative salary range in the UK for this position is ₤40,500 - £43,500, Brussels €44,000 - €47,000 and Berlin €41,653 - €45,000 dependent on experience.
