At Noble
At Noble, we believe the health of soil, plants, animals and humans is one and indivisible. We believe in rebuilding healthy soils and helping producers maintain a strong bottom line. Through these two actions, we can transform degraded grazing lands across the United States, benefiting the environment and society as a whole.
Our focus is to help farmers and ranchers apply regenerative ranching principles to the nation’s 654 million grazing lands. This monumental undertaking requires thousands of producers across the U.S. to overcome significant barriers and change their current practices to work with nature, not against it.
Our team plays a critical role in clearly articulating and conveying the information necessary for farmers and ranchers to triumph over the barriers and ultimately benefit all of society through their efforts. We live to find new ways to communicate usable information so farmers and ranchers can leave their land better at sunset than at sunrise.
So, do you want to join us? We are looking for an Officer of Impact Giving.
As Officer of Impact Giving, you will play an integral role in designing, building and implementing a creative, organization-wide advancement program that engages Noble Research Institute prospect and donor communities, employees and volunteers.
Your will be directly responsible for developing and executing Noble Research Institute’s comprehensive impact giving program including creating a robust sustained giving program, building a strong donor pipeline, and overseeing annual giving events and campaigns. The work you do can play a part in making a difference in a producer’s operation, their life and the society that depends on them.
You are:
- A life-long learner. First and foremost, you must be a passionate learner, personally professionally, everywhere, all the time.
- Driven to succeed. You are detail oriented and an organized self-starter who can manage deadlines and shepherd projects through to completion, while remaining flexible. You demonstrate innovative approaches to projects, challenges and problem solving and provide stellar customer service.
- A builder of relationships. You have the ability to easily establish rapport with prospective donors and advancement volunteers. As an active listener, you discern what is most important to a prospective donor. You know that the motivating force in all that Noble does begins and ends with the farmer and rancher and you strive to use your knowledge and abilities to connect donors to our mission and share the impact they can have on our customers in their journey to apply the principles of regenerative ranching successfully and profitably.
- A professional communicator. You have a wealth of experience in professional correspondence, both oral and written, communicating clearly and articulately, using correct grammar and accurate word choice. You can express the work of Noble Research Institute and the integral role of charitable partnerships in Noble’s efforts in an effective and compelling manner.
- Comfortable with direct solicitation. You have experience personally and consistently securing philanthropic gifts from donors. You are comfortable making donor calls and visits and are able to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Able to align passion and purpose. You have the ability to understand approved fundraising priorities and have a successful track record of translating those priorities into appealing philanthropic giving opportunities.
- A team member. You promote trusting relationships with open dialogue and an outward mindset. You work to make other employees and our customers successful. You identify, cultivate and steward all relationships in an effort to support Noble’s objectives.
You will:
- Identify prospective impact donors and create individual strategies for connection and engagement.
- Develop, manage and grow the sustained giving program including the active solicitation and stewardship of participants and create and manage Noble giving society. Manage a portfolio of individual and institutional donors.
- Collaborate with the development team and senior leadership to plan, organize and execute regular donor events and engagement opportunities. Work with Officer of Transformational Giving to transition donors to the major giving program when appropriate.
- Administer the impact program through tracking all actions related to current and prospective donors in organization’s donor database. Coordinate with Officer of Operations to regularly pull and review program performance results and work with director to develop impact giving program metrics.
- Exhibit a customer service-focused approach in all interactions and tasks maintaining a cooperative working relationship with employees, customers, visitors and guests.
- Represent Noble’s mission and values and care for the land and its improvements by supporting and contributing to the objectives of your team and its contribution to the goal of the organization.
