What is the opportunity?
Under the direction of the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer, the M&E Assistant is responsible for supporting the development and evaluation of specific program M&E needs to ensure the quality, and effectiveness of program implementation. The M&E Assistant will help the Community Development staff in Uganda in developing performance monitoring plans and results frameworks during program design and implementation, creating an M&E system, processes, and tools, and contributing to measuring, analyzing, and reporting results. This position requires that the person relocate/reside in Jinja. The position requires travel to remote locations within the respective regions to support the implementation of the WASH aspects at all levels.

Education Qualification and Experience:
The applicant must hold a bachelor's degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics, Social Science, or any relevant discipline.
Postgraduate training in M&E or Statistics is an added advantage.
Two years of working experience in a similar position with a local or international NGO
Skills & Abilities
Computer Literacy with knowledge and experience in data management and analysis using MS Excel, SPSS, Water surveyor, Kobo collect, Survey CTO and STATA is required.·
Self-motivated, and able to work under pressure.
Flexible and willing to travel to the field as required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Team-oriented, possesses a positive attitude, and works well with others.
Good presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint.
