Overview of the role
As reach52 continues to expand its business streams, including a strategic entry into new business lines, reach52 is seeking interns who will support Group Senior Management in strategizing for its growth and expansion. This role will support the creation of strategies and tactics for growing the different reach52 business lines, through project delivery.
Title: MBA Intern, Strategy
Arrangement: 3 to 6 months contract
Start Date: As per availability
Location: One of reach52’s core countries (Singapore, India, Indonesia, Philippines, Kenya). Open to remote.
Reporting to: Group CEO
Core Responsibilities
The core and responsibilities for this role will be:
- Carry out research (e.g. conducting interviews to relevant stakeholders), structure complex problems, develop hypotheses, conduct analyses (e.g. competitor analysis, SWOT analysis, etc.), and suggest recommendations through a data-driven process, which will lead to the interns’ projects for the arrangement.
- Own, optimise, and complete projects, related to reach52’s strategy for its different existing and upcoming business lines.
- Assist in various reach52 functions, namely: strategy, finance, operations, technology, business development, campaign operations, and pharmaceutical operations.
- Participate in business planning and development, which could be both internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in cross-functional team engagements, from fortnightly catchups to general assemblies.
- Support the CEO in ad hoc tasks that may need completion related to the reach52 strategy.
- Maximize the usage of technology in day-to-day operations, such as the Office 365 suit, to ensure proper documentation and efficiency.
- Support hitting the relevant Objectives and Key Results (‘OKRs’) to reach52’s strategy.
- Properly document and handover all work done after the arrangement to reach52.
Person specification
The ideal candidate will likely possess:
- Actively pursuing an MBA degree program in an accredited university with 2-5 years relevant work experience in Business Management, Strategy, Operations or equivalent.
- Highly valued experience, in startups and the following industries (or similar):
- Pharmaceuticals
- Consumer Health/FMCG
- Healthcare/Digital Health
- A modern strategic mindset, emphasising transparency, accountability, and a culture of growth and empowerment, with evidence in implementing modern strategic solutions and programs.
- Detailed and updated knowledge on strategies relevant to reach52’s business.
- Experience in working with multiple markets/functions and operating in a regional capacity, particularly within companies operating in Singapore, India, Philippines, Indonesia, Kenya and/or South Africa, is a hug plus.
- A strong numerical aptitude, attention to detail, sound business acumen, and strong analytical skills to process complex information and define clear strategic directions.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills in English.
- Strong project management skills and process improvement capabilities to deliver impactful results within deadlines.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to changing priorities for long-term positive outcomes.
- Passion for continuous learning, development, and empowering others.
- Strong mastery of the Microsoft Office 365 suite.
- Access to reliable personal devices and internet suitable for professional work.
