To continue to advance 3Degrees’ international growth, we are looking for a skilled B2B marketer to provide dedicated in-market expertise and marketing support. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong desire to make the world a better place to contribute to our mission of helping our customers take urgent action on climate change. The European Marketing Manager (Contractor) will be instrumental in the execution of the 2023 European go-to-market plan and support the strategic development of the 2024 plan. This role may also provide support for expansion into other global markets.
This is a temporary position for a period of 1 year with the possibility of permanent employment. This role reports into the Senior Marketing Manager and is preferably located in the UK, The Netherlands or Norway, ideally not far from London, Amsterdam or Oslo.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
The European Marketing Manager’s primary responsibilities will be:
- Serve as lead strategic partner for our European Commercial business team, significantly supporting 3Degrees’ European strategy and expansion initiatives; you will develop deep subject matter expertise for our products/services, including customer, competitive, and market insights that will be analyzed and shared across the cross-functional team
- Play a pivotal role in the development and execution of the European go-to-market plan, including customer persona development, segmentation, and journey optimization
- Collaborate with our subject matter experts to develop and promote robust thought leadership content across multiple channels (blogs, white papers, videos, webinars, etc.)
- Develop and execute cohesive, impactful integrated marketing campaigns tailored to reach our target buyer archetypes, verticals, and customer personas
- Develop sales enablement tools (decks, one-pagers, etc.) to support the needs of the European business development and product teams
- Research, recommend, and lead the activation of our international event strategy and conference sponsorships that are aligned with the go-to-market objectives
ABOUT YOU
As the European Marketing Manager, you are a skilled marketer with a proven track record as a key contributor on a cross-functional marketing team. You have a passion for developing a wide variety of content. You embrace data and are comfortable capturing, synthesizing, and using it to inform decisions.
Required:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in B2B marketing planning and execution, including a progression of responsibility
- Previous experience with the renewable energy and/or sustainability industry
- Proven ability to execute cross-functional integrated marketing campaigns to deliver on business goals
- Superior writing skills, with the ability to write a range of compelling short and long-form B2B content such as blogs, white papers, and case studies
- Experience capturing, synthesizing and using data to inform decisions
- Excellent ability to manage a variety of projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
- Highly motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic and ability to prioritize
- Shared passion for our mission to help businesses and their customers take urgent action on climate change
- Superior English language skills (oral and written)
Preferred:
- Event management experience
- Experience with Pardot
- Experience with Salesforce
- Familiarity with German, Spanish, French, or Italian is a plus
HOW WE DEFINE SUCCESS
Within 60 days
- You will have a firm understanding of marketing and sales team structure/processes and an overall understanding of our products and services
- You will have met with cross-functional stakeholders and external consultants to better understand the various marketing needs across the business
- You will begin to take on project tasks to support the execution of key go-to-market initiatives
- You will show some proficiency in the fundamental tasks of the role and be able to execute on project deliverables independently
Within 90 days
- European sales team and key business units feel increased service level and heightened subject matter expertise
- Sales team and BU partners are well armed with key sales and marketing tools
- Increased volume (as defined by the go-to-market plan) of high quality content
Within 6 months
- Effectively developing and delivering customer, competitive, and market insights with cross-functional team members on regular cadence
- Valuable strategic partner to key BUs and Sales team
- Independently executing key initiatives within the go-to-market plan
- On track to hit year-end Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) goal
- On track to hit your year-end European Commercial team KPI goals
- Improved 3Degrees brand recognition in Europe, specifically for key product/service areas
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Compensation: The starting base pay for this position is $66,600 to $85,000 in the US. The Employment Agreement will be converted and stated in the currency applicable to the candidate's location. The total compensation package for the successful candidate in this role may exceed the base pay as it includes other incentive pay. The base pay is dependent upon many factors such as location, transferable or job-related skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands. The base salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This is a Europe-based role and currency will be converted to the local currency based on USD equivalent. Conversion rates are reviewed biannually, at a minimum.

- Supplemental Pay: this position is eligible for discretionary bonus programs including the company’s profit sharing program and an annual performance bonus based on personal, department and company goals
