The Position

We are seeking a Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) to join our team to lead our FP&A team and help us achieve our goals for our business and the planet.
What you get to do:
- Develop and own cost forecasts and budgets across all Uplight business lines.
- Serve as Finance’s business partner to the engineering team, modeling best practices that other analysts can emulate in their business partnering assignments.
- Manage a team of opex/COGS analysts, including direction, career development, and enablement.
- Overall responsibility for FP&A system (Planful)
- Forecast costs and margins across organizations and product lines
- Look for ways to improve and simplify cost allocations to COGS and by product lines.
- As needed partner with pricing to ensure correct costs are being incorporated into pricing models.
- Thought leader on ways to improve FP&A processes, reporting, and identifying cost efficiency opportunities with stakeholders.
- Partner with the Revenue FP&A team and accounting teams as appropriate to facilitate thorough reporting and analysis.
- Work cross-functionally with other corporate teams (HR/Legal/Accounting) to develop and implement best in class processes.
- Report on monthly revenue results, including analyzing variances in budgets/forecasts.

What you bring to Uplight:
- 5+ years of progressive relevant work experience in FP&A and leadership, and experience as a finance business partner
- Experience in developing cost budgets, forecasts, and management reporting
- Proven experience in leading teams and change management
- Demonstrated record of FP&A process improvements
- Understanding of general accounting principles
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally
Bonus points:
- Experience with Planful (or similar FP&A tools)
- Utility or regulated industry experience
- Ability to travel to our Boulder Headquarters on a quarterly basis

Salary Range: $120,000 to $145,000 USD (dependent on experience)
In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the approximate annual base compensation range is listed above. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be determined by a number of factors including the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.
