Summary of Role:

Mainstream is looking for a Group SHEQ Manager, the candidate will have the company-wide responsibility for adherence to applicable SHEQ standards and promote the culture of Health & Safety across the group.

With an understanding of the business, the candidate will recommend and put in place SHEQ business process to ensure alignment with the corporate strategy.

The SHEQ will functionally lead the Central SHEQ team and a dotted line will lead the platform and offshore SHEQ team in order to make sure that all SHEQ measurements are been taken in a coordinated way.

Key Responsibilities and Activities

• Development and implementation of health and safety (H&S), environmental and quality strategies, policies and procedures
• Company-wide responsibility for adherence to applicable H&S and environmental legislation
• Review of safety, environmental, and quality management, as well as compliance monitoring across all project and office locations
• Promotion of health and safety working practices
• Liaison with regulatory and statutory safety and environmental bodies
• Produce management reports, newsletters, and bulletins on regular basis.
• Lead functionally the Central SHEQ team and dotted line with platforms and offshore SHEQ team.
• Keep up to date with relevant legislation and maintain a record of applicable legislation.
• Development and implementation of H&S, environmental and quality management systems
• Continuous improvement to management systems
• Ownership of the certification processes
• Ensure compliance with MRP Risk Management standards via a regular series of audits, follow-up, education & training, and reports.
• Ensure that Physical security of the offices/sites are always maintained to its optimum level.
• Make sure all preventive measurements to avoid accidents are taken and make sure all investigations are taken properly.
• Ensures SHEQ strategies/programs are implemented at a global level.
• Responsible for ensuring HSE culture engagement efforts are implemented and well-aligned with the business strategies across the regions.
• Full understanding of the business strategies in order to conceptualize, recommend and implement HSE business processes that ensure alignment with the corporate strategy.

Key Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

• Bachelors’ degree in health sciences, safety engineering, environmental engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role in a multi-national organisation
• Degree qualification in Safety, Engineering, Science, Technology, or similar
• Fluency in English
• Exercises vision and sound judgment at both global and local levels. Must be willing to tackle tough issues with tact and diplomacy in a timely fashion.
• Strong leadership, talent management, change execution, and financial management skills. Readily and actively contributes to the success of the global team.
• Ability to act as change agent through interactions with others
• Strong management skill set required including scheduling, planning, financial control, and management.
• Strong leadership qualities.
