Your Responsibilities:
- Get in touch with the different expansion joint types used on INNIO engines. Understand the functions and requirements, related to the different usage (e.g. exhaust gas line, cooling water line, oil line, …)
- Determine which physical effects can lead to error modes of expansion joints, what constraints you need from suppliers and internal Simulation team. Find ways how you could measure these effects
- Identify and compare suitable measurement systems which are capable to measure those critical effects and develop a standard measurement procedure that is able to capture all worst cases during different engine operations. (Inhouse and external measurement systems to be considered)
- Develop a software tool (E.g. Matlab) which is capable to match 3D measurement data (Stereoscopy) from the assembly and calculate the deviation against the manufacturing drawing
- Determine ways to reduce the measured data to a necessary minimum and assess each physical effect which could harm an expansion joint
Your Profile:
- Engineering student
- Passion for internal combustion engines & measurement systems
- A common understanding of mechanical vibrations
- Basic skills or the desire to learn the usage of Matlab
- Fluent in English, German is a plus
- Legal work authorization to work in Austria is required (Non-EU-citizens: please attach the authorization form to your application)
The base pay is composed of the amount according to the Austrian collective agreement which is EUR 2.349,14 gross per month (x 14).
