About Resource Development
Accion’s Resource Development department has a solid track record of creative partnerships, strategic fundraising, and proven results. We work across a broad base of corporate and private foundation partners including Mastercard, Credit Suisse, FMO, Bill and Melinda Gates, MetLife, and Citi Foundations. In addition, we work with individual impact investors, philanthropic donors, and the public sector to carry out our important and increasingly urgent mission. Building on the existing strong base of supporters and partners, we aim to amplify our strategic partnership priorities.
Position Summary
The Resource Development (RD) team is seeking a Graduate Intern for the fall with strong research, business intelligence/analytics, marketing skills, knowledge of data visualization tools and project management experience. The Intern will work closely with the Resource Development team to support our knowledge management as it pertains to funders and key partnerships and develop fact sheets for external use with key stakeholders. The Intern will also be key in the creation of funder profiles and engagement strategies for high priority prospects and partners.

The Intern will have the opportunity to contribute to the team’s knowledge tools and gain experience with strategic partnerships. The Intern will also work closely with a highly collaborative and creative team of partnerships experts who are passionate about working toward a more financially inclusive and interconnected world. This internship will provide knowledge and experience within a well-established and globally recognized nonprofit, with an innovative business model, and is an organization at the forefront of innovative financial services for underserved populations.
Qualifications and Requirements
Currently enrolled in a relevant graduate degree program (international relations, business management/MBA, non-profit management, economic development, marketing/communications)
Experience with market research and/or business intelligence gathering and analysis
Project management
Strong research, data analytics, data visualization skills
Ability to clearly communicate visually and verbally to a variety of audiences (e.g., external, internal, and philanthropic).
Strong working knowledge of PowerPoint
Willingness to embody Accion’s values of Excellence, Respect and Passion for Social Change
Previous experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce), data visualization tools (Power BI) preferred
Experience working with fundraising teams and in particular, knowledge of corporations and private foundations is preferred
