Program/Department Overview
The Office of Chief Scientist (OCS) is the nexus of science at EDF, ensuring that the scientific backbone for all EDF policy positions is based on the best available information. To be effective in this role, OCS works with staff from across EDF and provides programmatic support for all EDF scientists as well as fosters relationships with scientists in academia, government and industry. Resided in OCS, the Climate Science Team plays a central role in advancing policy-relevant science and making sure all climate-related initiatives and communications across EDF are based on the best available science.
Overall Function
The Intern will greatly improve EDF’s capacity to grasp the hydrogen research landscape and projects in East Asia and identify knowledge gaps, providing valuable information to shape our research and communications strategy in East Asia. This includes summarizing peer-reviewed literature, reports, and white papers and translate them for technical and non-technical audiences. The intern will focus on the literature that addresses the climate impact/benefit of clean hydrogen to replace fossil fuel in various economic sectors, and their feasibility, within the East Asia context. The Intern will report to a Scientist in OCS.

Compensation
This internship would involve compensation for work paid at a rate competitive with leading non-profits at $17-$22/hr, depending on candidate education background.
