What are we looking for?
The HR Co-op will be a member of the Welland Team and working closely to support our North American Human Resources department. This includes performing a variety of assignments to support the optimization of talent acquisition, training and employee relations initiatives.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assisting the Human Resources team in a variety of administrative tasks, not limited to: file management, tracking and communicating sick and personal emergency days, peer review and training tracking.
- Assisting the HR team in recruitment activities, such as resume evaluation, phone screening and scheduling interviews
- Planning new hire orientation and employee training events
- Communicating with stakeholder's and third-party vendors for both training and site events
- Communicating with candidates on recruiting logistics
- Assisting the HR team in coordinating site visits and ordering supplies
- Assisting the HR team with site communications regarding upcoming events, onboarding team members and HR reminders
Qualifications
- In process of completing bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management
- Experience working within a manufacturing setting would be considered an asset
