Human Resource Generalist

Reporting to the Director, Talent & Culture, the Human Resource (HR) Generalist plays a critical role in providing HR support to the organization. Responsibilities:

  • Manage all administrative aspects of onboarding and offboarding employees.
  • Assist with all aspects of the recruitment process, including staff and interns.
  • Assist with the annual performance management process within IISD.
  • Perform new employee orientation and exit interviews.
  • Produce and submit HR reports.
  • Manage training requests and maintain training records.
  • Complete expense claims and HR credit card bank statement expenses monthly.
  • Implement diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives at IISD.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • University or college education in human resources.
  • 1–2 years of experience as an HR Generalist.
  • Effective HR administration and people management skills.
  • Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Highly computer literate and capable in email, MS Office, and related business and communication tools.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Payroll experience is an asset.

Location: Winnipeg

Term:  Full-time Indefinite (would consider 80% full-time equivalent if desired)

Salary: $42,964 – $50,621 (based on experience)

Start Date: As soon as possible
