Intro
Hivos is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Financial Officer for the Work: No Child’s Business (WNCB) program. The officer is responsible for the day-to-day financial management of the program and reports to the program manager. He/she maintains oversight of financial and contractual compliance of the grant and provides technical assistance so that the grant is properly managed to enable successful implementation of the program.
Job context
Work: No Child’s Business is an Alliance consisting of UNICEF Netherlands, Save the Children Netherlands and the Stop Child Labor coalition. We work with country offices and partner organizations in six countries. Hivos is the lead organization and hosting the program management unit (PMU). The program is supported by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and runs from July 2019 – June 2024.
WNCB aims to achieve that children and youth are free from child labor and enjoy their rights to quality education and (future) decent work. We work in six countries: Cote d’Ivoire, India, Jordan, Mali, Uganda and Vietnam. In these countries we identified sectors with a high incidence of child labour and link to the EU market. The Alliance joins forces with communities, schools, governments, civil society organizations, trade unions and private actors, bringing sustainable solutions for children and their families.

Employment is offered as soon as possible with good working conditions for the period of one year; with possible 6 months extension. Travel costs are compensated in accordance with Hivos regulations. We offer participation in the pension fund.
