In this role you are the controller and accountant for all aspects of inventory at the INNIO Jenbacher Headquarters. Jenbach is the largest site and lead factory of the INNIO group, producing gas engines and spare parts. You own the accounting processes around inventory, drive accuracy, and plan inventory values and report actual results to senior leadership.These activities make a significant contribution to the success of the Operations Finance team and the wider business.

Your Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Operations Inventory Leader. Drive and improve the planning and forecasting of Jenbacher inventory levels. This feeds directly to management reporting and is a key element of INNIO’s cash flow metrics
- Perform the monthly inventory period closes and associated accounting, ensure the general ledger is up to date and reconciles to the subledgers
- Calculate and book periodic financial adjustments. Examples include the allocation of inventory to the correct reporting classifications, freight cost accruals, and critical entries such as the Obsolescence reserve and FIFO adjustments
- Provide financial expertise and tracking on various inventory related projects, examples are supplier delivery obligations and related liquidated damages, contractual reviews, etc.
- Issue regular reports to the wider business. Includes overall and detailed inventory balances, comparisons to plan, and related metrics such as scrap and rework
- Main point of contact to external auditors for all inventory accounting questions at the INNIO HQ
- Expert on inventory accounting policies, covering both IFRS and local statutory regulations
- Main finance point of contact for the business on inventory related matters
- Lead and perform from the finance perspective the annual inventory count processes
Your Profile:
- Bachelor/Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Business Administration
- Experience in a finance or accounting role
- Strong understanding of accounting concept
- Excellent Excel skills, experienced with large sets of data. Business Intelligence skills advantageous.
- Oracle/other ERP experience
- Fluent English and German
- A valid work permit for Austria is a prerequisite for this position (Non-EU citizens: please attach the work permit to the application)
