Position Overview:
Rare is seeking an exceptional university student to join our Global Development team, based in Berlin, on a part-time basis through the German Werkstudent Program.
The selected candidate will be hired as a local student in Germany and must have active work authorization. This student worker will have the opportunity to work alongside colleagues from around the world to support the efforts of Rare's Europe-based team who focus primarily on public fundraising, project implementation, and partnership management.
As part of the Global Development team, the student worker will collaborate closely with the team based in Berlin as well as several colleagues based in the United States. The individual will perform a range of finance and operations tasks related to Rare's German entity and office, as well as other organization-wide activities across all of the countries where Rare works. This includes supporting month-end entries, cash management, financial analysis, coordination and other administrative support. The individual will work mainly with the Finance and Operations Manager and support the Global Development Team in line with Rare US and Rare Germany policies and procedures.

Work a maximum of 20 hours per week during lecture period and full-time up to 37.5 hours upon agreement during lecture-free periods. Wages are 18 EUR per hour.
