C- Quest Capital LLC (CQC) is a Washington DC headquartered social impact-investment enterprise with operational platforms in 9+ countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, as well as Central America and South-East Asia. CQC has a strong focus on transforming the lives of the rural poor in developing countries.

C-Quest Capital (CQC) is committed to catalyze and sustain the transition to a climate resilient future for communities whose health and economic welfare is at risk from climate change.

Our projects are closely managed by the CQC Operations Team and by establishing relationships with people and organizations based in-country called Implementing Partners (IPs), whose development goals closely align with the work we are doing at scale and are already working at the village level.

Background:

CQC is rapidly expanding its work to provide improved cook stoves to hundreds of thousands of households in rural communities across Mozambique.

We are looking to hire a Finance and Administration Manager to make ensure that payments are made on time, manage our financial accounts, and coordinate team meetings/purchases.

We are looking for people to join our team who are passionate about making sure that women in rural communities get improved cookstoves that they will use every day to replace their three-stone fires. We are looking for a person for this role who is very detail-oriented, who loves all things Finance and Admin related, and who see this work as a calling instead of just a job.

Core Tasks:

With the guidance of the Mozambique Country Manager, and with supervision by the Country Director, this position responsibilites would include:

• coordination of stove parts to implementing partners
• organizing and reconciling weekly budgets and managing the petty cash account
• ensuring the vehicle fleet is well maintained and insurance is up to date
• coordinating quarterly team meeting
• making purchases for team as needed, like shirts, hats, cell phone, computers, etc.
• visiting partner communities at least one time per month to understand the project’s operations
• accounting for all payments on Quickbooks Online
• completing all needed tax filings
• assisting other departments as needed

Requirements include:

University Diploma in quantitative skill-set

Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel and Quickbooks (competency will be tested in the interview process in a skills-based test)

Complete the core tasks listed above

Manage personal travel logistics and reporting requirements and seek pre-approval of costs from CQC

Provide a detailed budget and schedule outlining their program and expected expenses

Proficiency in the English language and local language, geography, and culture

Strong preference is given to those who are passionate about our work, have good communication skills, and work well in a team
