FIELD COORDINATOR

All Hands and Hearts is a disaster relief nonprofit. Our program bases are located in the communities we serve, and depending on the role you apply for you may be required to visit and/or live in our communal program environments. Please note that vaccination is required for all in-person work environments, including program bases and offices. You will also be expected to adhere to particular safety protocols (including relating to COVID-19), and should understand your responsibility for the safety of yourself and others around you. We will always provide an option for travel-exempt staff to join meetings and events virtually, to ensure we provide an inclusive environment for those who are unvaccinated or at high risk.

The start date for this position is ASAP.  Not open to US residents.

Position Purpose

A versatile position within a dynamic nonprofit that provides community-inspired, volunteer-powered disaster relief.  The position is full time and is responsible for the assessment and management of work queues to maintain smooth workflow and creating and maintaining relations between All Hands and Hearts and local beneficiaries.

Essential Functions

  • Manage the field work queue including the intake of new beneficiaries, scheduling of new work sites, and management of program data on All Hands and Hearts’ organizational database

  • Conduct, schedule and manage site assessments

  • Seek out, build and maintain relationships with local NGOs, IDP Camp management and possible beneficiaries in the area, attend coordination meetings as required

  • Assist the Project Manager and Response Coordinator with prioritizing the work queue and the scheduling and timelines of work sites

  • Maintain accurate tracking systems where necessary

  • We understand vaccination is the best way to protect our beneficiaries, community members, staff and volunteers, therefore we require all of our on program staff members to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. To be considered for this position you must be fully vaccinated.  Subject to applicable guidance, the term fully vaccinated currently refers to when an individual has received either a single-shot vaccine or both doses of a two-shot vaccine, and two weeks have elapsed since the final dose.

Position Requirements

  • Education  High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Related Experience  Previous All Hands and Hearts experience preferred. Minimum 1 year experience in construction logistics, logistics management. and construction in a
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year experience of construction logistics, 1 year of experience working or volunteering for All Hands and Hearts, or another disaster response organization, and 1 year experience managing logistics/and or working in construction in a development setting.
  • Special Competencies/Certifications  Must be able to secure and maintain appropriate visas. Excellent written and oral communication skills (In Polish and English preferably). Driver’s license required. Confident working with Google suite, Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel. The applicant needs to be well organized, detail-oriented and process driven.The applicant should have a flexible approach to managing multiple tasks and prioritizing them appropriately. The individual is able to manage a large workload and perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work Environment/Conditions Communal living environment. Frequent high-stress situations.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay rate is $800-$1,200 USD/ month, based on skills and experience.
