Facilities Manager

Ambri, an energy startup commercializing an innovative battery technology first developed at MIT, is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to support the launch, scale-up and ongoing maintenance of our pilot manufacturing plant in Milford, MA.  This role plans short and long term actions and oversees the completion of the day-to-day activities involving maintenance of manufacturing and facilities equipment including HVAC, building utility systems, production lines and test systems. This is an on-site position in Milford, MA.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee building, facility, critical systems and plant equipment
• Manage the installation, set up, maintenance and repair of all major facilities equipment and infrastructure.
• Work closely with Ambri’s engineering and operations team to coordinate installation and qualification of new equipment and process improvements
• Select, develop, train, and supervise maintenance team
• Effectively manage relationships with contractors and service providers
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance plan for facilities and production equipment to maximize uptime.
• Develop and implement emergency operating and contingency procedures for Medical, Weather, Electrical, Fire and Chemical spill response.
• Responsible for custodial maintenance program to ensure cleanliness of facility.
• Work with construction manager to ensure.
• Coordinate maintenance and repair with landlord as required.

Requirements:

• 4 Year technical degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of maintenance management experience in a manufacturing environment
• 3+ years in a leadership role
• Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including HVAC, electrical, PLC, hydraulic and mechanical systems
• Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making.
• Able to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple priorities
• Attention to detail, with strong problem-solving skills and decision-making ability
• Team player who can work both cross-functionally and independently with minimal direction
