NRDC is seeking a Director, Digital Advertising to work with the Communications team in our New York, NY or Washington, DC office.
Position Summary
The Director, Digital Advertising will oversee the development and management of an advertising strategy that’s audience-centric and aligned with NRDC’s goals and budgets. The position will oversee advertising campaigns with advocacy, fundraising, engagement, brand and acquisition goals, and coordination of internal advertising requests across the organization and advertising vendors.
The position will report to the Senior Director, Campaigns and Marketing and will oversee the Campaigns & Advertising Associate, as well as coordinate multiple advertising consultants. The Director will be responsible for developing a holistic ad strategy, support the team in prioritizing requests coming from a variety of NRDC teams and departments, as well as lead collaboration with the analytics team and agencies to optimize reporting and advertising analytics, including return on investment (ROI) and long-term value (LTV).
This position will support NRDC and the NRDC Action Fund, and will engage with advocacy, fundraising and engagement efforts at the national, regional, state, and local level, leading campaigns that are audience-centric, can engage existing and new and diverse audiences, acquire donors and donor leads, and do so following DEI principles.

We offer competitive salaries, excellent benefits, and a supportive working environment. Salary is based on a nonprofit scale and is commensurate with skills and experience. Internal equity will be reviewed and considered to determine a final offer. For this position, the salary range is $126,000 to $145,000.
