The Digital Systems Strategist – Web maintains and optimizes Ecojustice’s website. A key member of Ecojustice’s marketing team, they are responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting the site with a user focus; researching and implementing web accessibility best practices; testing and rolling out of new website tools; and setting up appropriate tracking and measurement using Google Analytics to ensure Ecojustice achieves its program, acquisition, and revenue-generation goals.

About The Role

As part of the Communications team, the ideal candidate is a thoughtful and dynamic team player who has a track record of delivering exceptional results. The Digital Systems Strategist will play a key role in:

  • Developing, managing, and maintaining Ecojustice’s website functions to support the organization’s program, acquisition, and revenue-generation goals, while ensuring website accessibility standards and focusing on user-centric perspectives

  • Ensuring the site - including security and plugins - is maintained, updated, and upgraded as necessary, and troubleshoot website glitches and work with the marketing team to resolve errors between systems and ensure solutions are implemented rapidly

  • Coordinating with external vendors and develop CMS templates to support Ecojustice's brand, build engagement and support, and conduct quality assurance checks

  • Cultivating and maintaining positive internal and external relationships to advance knowledge transfer and overall support of digital systems

  • Maintaining a personal commitment to justice, diversity, equity & inclusion to ensure positive collaboration with team and overall organization

Role Success

Typically, we find that people who succeed in this role bring:

  • 6+ years of direct professional web systems experience (a combination of relevant experience will be considered).
  • High proficiency in working with Google Analytics (GA4), WordPress (or similar CMS) & Microsoft Excel, with basic CSS and HTML proficiency.
  • Working knowledge in SEO, with a focus on user experience, and the ability to report/recommend based on data.
  • Exceptional communication and project management skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, including team building, facilitation, and conflict resolution.
  • The ability to create a web-based vision and inclusive solutions based on the user's experience.
