Greenpeace in Central & Eastern Europe is hiring a
The person on this position will identify, coordinate and facilitate successful partnership between European cities and Ukrainian cities which have been destroyed partly or heavily by the war. The job opening is part of the Greening the reconstruction of Ukraine project.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation of the partnerships in Ukraine, focused on green and progressive practices which will be promoted in the process of recovery of the country.
The work will be implemented closely with Ukrainian municipalities and will aim to distribute expertise within their networks.
Main responsibilities:
Strategic & Conceptual
Participate in the development of the City Partnership concept.
Come up with new ideas for concrete green reconstruction efforts in Ukraine
Participate in campaign planning
Implementation
Work with colleagues in Europe to create concrete packages for reconstruction of public infrastructure in Ukrainian towns (e.g. Schools, Hospitals)
Communicate with municipalities in Ukraine, research and identifying possible collaboration
Organize events, study visits, trainings for municipalities in Ukraine
Research of best practices for urban/energy/environmental solutions
Build network
Support other GP offices in publicly promoting the partnerships
Collaborate on daily basis with the European counterpart of the team
Support tasks
Support the communication work around the partnerships in European towns and Ukraine
Support reporting of this strand of work towards funders and other stakeholder
Financial and administrative support - follow up on the implementation of the concrete projects, undertaken within the partnerships
Competencies required
Excellent spoken and written English and Ukrainian
Bachelor's degree in related field
Service and support oriented
Good representation and public speaking skills
Networking skills
Ability to coordinate and organize processes
Availability to travel
