Position Summary

Coordinators will staff two program areas in one of the following categories.

Housing Futures and Land Justice establishes and advances an antiracist legal, regulatory, fiscal, policy, and narrative framework for rental housing and homeownership strategies. The portfolio addresses the long standing and persistent racial and economic inequities that characterize our housing system. We forge partnerships with frontline organizing groups and national legal organizations to advocate for the next generation of equitable housing policies at local, state, and federal levels.

Infrastructure ensures that all people in all of the nation’s communities, tribal lands, and territories including the 100 million people living at or below 200 percent of poverty, live in socially, environmentally, economically, and spatially just places. The portfolio demands equitable and just investments in sustainable, resilient community infrastructure that would benefit the 100 million and transform all communities into communities of choice. To achieve this result, we set infrastructure equity standards that provide a legally defensible framework for ensuring distributional equity in federal infrastructure investments; develop tracking tools that allow local jurisdictions and community activists to hold federal, state, and local governments accountable; engage federal agencies around equity-based results; and deliver capacity-building  assistance for local jurisdictions and community-based partners.
