Consultant - Social Inclusion Business Case - Remote

🌎 Remote 🇺🇸 United States 📝 FULL-TIME

Background:

Mercy Corps is a leading global organization powered by the belief that a better world is possible. In disaster, in hardship, in more than 40 countries around the world, we partner to put bold solutions into action — helping people triumph over adversity and build stronger communities from within.

Over the past 10 years, Mercy Corps has embarked on a journey to challenge and address gender inequality and social exclusion in our organization, our programs, and our sector through the ACT for Impact grant. Initially, we developed policies and resources to address gender inequality in our programs. In the last decade, the scope of the ACT program has broadened and deepened to tackle inequality in our operations as well as in our programs. At the same time, significant global crises occurred, underscoring that safety, diversity, and inclusion are inextricably linked to who we are and what we do. This work is a key organizational priority for Mercy Corps.

This business case will capture global data and statistics on the power of inclusion as well as successful examples from Mercy Corps programs and teams. To inform this business case, writing consultants will conduct a literature review of external resources as well as Mercy Corps documents and examples provided by the Sr. Director for Gender Equality and Social Inclusion and Director for Gender, Diversity and Inclusion. The consultant may need to schedule a few key informant interviews to flesh out internal examples:
