Our Foster Care program works with the foster care children to talk about their referral issues and to discuss why they are in foster care. This specialist also serves as a liaison between the child and the court and is always an advocate for the best needs of the child. The Youth Villages Foster Care Program uses intensive in-home based treatment where interventions are parent focused bringing change through the family, school, community, and peer groups.
Our Intercept program serves a broad population of youth, including those involved with multiple child-serving systems and those at high risk of removal from their families. The program specializes in diverting youth from out of home placements by helping their families safely maintain youth in their home environment. This position is responsible for providing intensive home-based therapy.
The Clinical Supervisor will supervise, provide overall direction, coordination and evaluation of Family Service Workers and Family Support Specialists. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Provide support and assistance as needed to team. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance and other essential duties.
Schedule is flexible and non-traditional; based around the availability of youth and families served.
Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, a personal vehicle to use for work purposes and auto insurance.
Community Based staff will be reimbursed for applicable mileage
A Master's degree in a social services discipline is preferred. A Bachelor's degree in a social services discipline is required.
At least six months of experience and knowledge of case management and social service entities (e.g., CASA, GAL) preferred
Experience working with DCS cases preferred
Six months of experience in a clinical counseling or case management setting is required
Excellent communication skills and ability to lead and develop staff
Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time
Strong attention to case details, documentation, and compliance with Tennessee Department of Children's Services documentation policies and procedures
Experience growth and development through our continuous training as well as tuition and licensure reimbursement or pursue opportunities to advance both clinically and administratively with Youth Villages.
You must have your own vehicle to use for work purposes as well as have liability insurance
Acceptable driving record - Three or fewer moving violations within the past 36 months
