About the role

We are looking for a motivated, dynamic bid manager to manage the end to end bidding process, securing ongoing work for Ecosulis in accordance with our business strategy. Bids will be for environmental works including landscaping, habitat creation and restoration, and maintenance projects.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Strategically assessing tender opportunities.
• Making recommendations to the senior leadership team on which opportunities to pursue in line with our business plan.
• Bid production planning and development.
• Working with the Bid Assistant to produce bids and tender responses, ensuring high quality written proposals
• Managing the process of pricing for tenders.
• Building relationships with existing and prospective clients
• Work with our Business Development consultants to gather intelligence around bids, tenders, and prospective projects.
• Management of the organisation’s CRM system and the internal Bid Library.

About you

You will demonstrate first class communication skills, both written and verbal. This will translate into an exemplary attention to detail and an ability to write persuasive, focused proposals, and responses.   It is essential that you can build rapport with both internal and external clients, focusing on developing long term trusted relationships.

You will have previous experience in a fast-paced environment and will be able to take a strategic view of opportunities, whilst also being able to roll your sleeves up and do the operational work as required.

You will need:

• A degree or equivalent experience in an environmental, engineering, commercial or project management discipline.
• Experience of managing the bidding process in a SME organisation.
• The ability to work with internal and external clients and build trusted relationships.
• It would be great if you had:
• A Bid Management qualification.
• Experience working within the civils, construction, or environmental sector
• Experience of working with HubSpot
• Previous experience of managing bid libraries.

Overview:

• Job type: Full time
• Start date: As soon as possible
• Salary: £40,000 to £50,000
• Location: The role will be home based with travel to site, client meetings and management meetings as needed.

A full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle will be required.
